WHO FACILITATES THE CLASSES?
A public health nurse from Isanti County Public Health and an Early Childhood Parent Educator from District #911 Community Education are at each class.
WHAT DAY DOES CLASS TAKE PLACE AND AT WHAT TIME?
We will meet every Thursday from 12 - 1:30 pm in the Early Childhood Rooms at Cambridge Intermediate School.
WHAT DO WE DISCUSS AND LEARN ABOUT?
There are plenty of topics open for learning and discussion. Some of these topics will be: staying healthy during pregnancy, breastfeeding, immunizations, childbirth options, nutrition, child development, parenting styles, discipline, handling parenting stressors, and supporting yourself.
WHAT DOES CLASSROOM TIME LOOK LIKE?
There will time for greeting each other, open discussion times, and lecture with interaction with the teacher and your peers. Those of you who have children already, will also have parent/child interaction time. This time will consist of playing and singing together as a group. There will be plenty of variety in class with reading, lecture, videos, speakers, and field trips.

All you need to do to be part of TAPP is stop in at your high school counseling office or contact Oak Land ALC directly. The high school counselor or the ALC will get you set up to be in the class.
