Million Word Club
There are 57 students in the Million Word Club this year... FANTASTIC!! In May we celebrated this accomplishment. Of these 57, 13 have read over 2 million words, three have read over 3 million words, two have read over 4 million and for the first time ever, we have one student who has read over 5 MILLION WORDS!! GeAn Merkouris is a fourth grader from Mrs. Jacobsma's class who has 773
points after passing 176 quizzes!
Congratulations, GeAn, for breaking a CIS record!
No other student has ever reached 5,000,000 words. Who will be next?

Tyson Project A+
CIS is participating in the Tyson Project A+™ program, a fund-raising program sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. Through this program, we can raise up to $12,000 for our school this year! The money can go towards supplies, building improvements, school programs, or anything else we choose. Just clip and collect Tyson Project A+ labels from participating Tyson® product packages and send them to school with your child. We’ll collect the labels and send them to Tyson Foods, and Tyson Foods will send our school a check. Each label is worth 24¢!
|Earn cash for our school every time you shop for groceries. Clip Box Tops coupons from hundreds of products found at your local grocery store. Each coupon is worth 10 cents when we redeem them from General Mills. Look for Box Tops coupons on Pop Secret popcorn, Bugels, Chex Mix, Gardettos snacks, Cheerios, Wheaties, Chex, Total, Kix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Trix, Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms, Yoplait Go-Gurt, Pillsbury Rolls, Betty Crocker cake mixes and frosting, Bisquick, Progresso Soup, Old El Paso products, Gold Medal flour and many more! Target Take Charge of Education
Here's a terrific way to raise funds for Cambridge Intermediate School! All you have to do is use your Target Visa or Target Card. Target generously donates 1 percent of your Target Visa or Target Card purchases to the school of your choice (CAMBRIDGE INTERMEDIATE) in the form of a cash donation through the Take Charge of Education program. Target tracks purchases charged to participating accounts and sends a check to us in March and September. Signing up is easy. Just visit
target.com/tcoe, or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate Cambridge Intermediate as the school to receive a percentage of your purchases.
This fall we received a check for $1,585.53 -- that's not small change!
Campbell's Labels for Education
