Subject:Strategic Planning: You're Needed for Kickoff!
Greetings all district staff!

We are counting down to action team kickoff!

It has been my pleasure to share the importance of the strategic planning process with you during visits to each of our schools over the past couple of weeks. I hope that you share in the excitement of all that this is intended to do for our district!

We are still looking for action team volunteers and it is not too late for you to join a team!  Our goal was to get about 225 volunteers (20-25 for each of the nine action teams).  As of this morning, we have 107!  Thanks to all those already signed up...let's see if we can get a few more!!!  I'm requesting your help and your talents as dedicated staff. If you are unable to join a team, please find someone who can—a neighbor, colleague or friend.

It is time to move forward and the investment this process is making in our schools and our students will help us be "the leader in innovative education, offering unlimited options and opportunities."

Your support as a part of District 911 is vital moving forward!

This process is not possible without the invaluable support of all volunteers. We need more volunteers to make the next phase of strategic planning as successful as possible.

Next Tuesday, March 18, action teams will kick off and begin making a plan of action for each of the nine strategies identified during the first planning session. These plans are crucial for directing the time, energy and resources of the district and that means we need to maximize our teams.

Kickoff will be held at Cambridge-Isanti High School at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). As a member of an action team you would be committing to 30-40 hours of planning time (over a 4-month time span) and committing to positively contribute to the future of District 911.   Thirty clock hours will be provided for license renewals for volunteers on action teams!

Please view the strategic planning website to learn more about what we, District 911, are doing to set the course for our future and to access an action team application form. All are invited to join a team!

You can also contact me or call the District Office at 763-689-6201 for more information.

Thank you for considering this wonderful opportunity for our schools and our communities!

All you do is greatly appreciated!
